The Airas perform best in this category for low speed, as well as joint best for short turns, smoothness, liveliness/responsiveness and off piste. Like Ninja warriors gliding silently through all types of snow, they help to make elegant turns. They’re smooth on piste, but release their playful inner child once the going gets adventurous off piste.

Expert | Best for developing hip angulation

These skis outclass the rest of the piste expert group for short turns, low speed and moguls. They’re nice and forgiving at lower speeds, and very easy for initiating short turns. But for athletic master-blasters they’re also punchy, versatile and aggressive, with great edge hold. Because they’re so comfortable on an edge, they’re great tools for making angles from the hip. This hip angulation helps to tilt the skis onto a better edge for gripping and controlling the turn.

+ Short turns, high speed, low speed, smoothness, groomed piste, moguls
- All-terrain/snow versatility, off piste

Lengths: 160, 165, 170, 175, 180

Relatively stiff for women’s skis, these are joint top in the expert category for edge hold, long turns, high speed, smoothness and liveliness/responsiveness. Stable, strong and responsive, they’re trustworthy in long turns, and agile and nippy in short turns. At high speed they’re fun and inspiring, and grip well on icy, steep terrain.
