Met de Dandelight versmelt Studio DRIFT natuur en technologie tot een lichtsculptuur. Het werk kan worden gezien als een kritische maar utopische visie op de toekomst van onze planeet, waar twee schijnbaar tegengestelde evoluties een pact hebben gesloten om te overleven. DRIFT heeft twee versies ontwikkeld, een met en een zonder stolp.
Deze Dandelight, met stolp, wordt gevoed met een elektrische kabel, in plaats van op batterijen. De kabel heeft een schakelaar om het licht aan en uit te zetten. De Dandelight is geplaatst in een mondgeblazen glazen stolp op een betonnen/polymeer basis.
De paardebloemen worden in het voorjaar geoogst en gedroogd. Pluisje voor pluisje worden ze op het lampje geplakt.
Deze versie komt met een stolp en cementen base en heeft een schakelaar.
