De druif heeft niets met het Griekse Troje te maken, maar kreeg zijn naam van het dorpje Troia dat vlakbij Foggia in Puglia ligt. En dat is ook precies waar deze vandaan komt! Dichter bij de roots kan niet! Gerijpt voor 8 maanden in amfora geeft aardse tonen. Stevig, warm, met zwart fruit als braam en kers en subtiele specerijen in de afdronk. Lekker bij wild, lamsvlees maar ook pasta met tomaten en/of groentesauzen en gerijpte harde kazen.
