De Monchhichi aapjes werden geproduceerd door de Sekiguchi corporation uit Tokio, Japan.Â
Koichi Sekiguchi kwam begin jaren '70 op het idee om een product op de markt te brengen dat een boodschap van Schoonheid en Liefde zou uitdragen. Eind jaren 70 werd het aapje steeds populairder, en uiteindelijk kon je er bijna niet omheen.
Het aapje kon zijn duim in zijn mond steken en was verkrijgbaar in verschillende outfits.
En nu opnieuw op de markt, en bij ons in de winkel!
