Het is zo'n 180 jaar geleden dat dit wijnhuis door Seguin Manuel werd opgericht. In 2004 heeft de wijnmaker Thibaut Marion het domein overgenomen. De 45-jarige Thibaut komt uit een wijnmakers-familie uit de regio Beaune. Voor de periode van 7 jaar heeft hij de kneepjes van het vak geleerd bij het gerenommeerde wijnhuis Chanson Père & Fils. Wijnhuis Seguin-Manuel is de laatste jaren volledig gemoderniseerd. Onder leiding van Thibaut groeit het domein jaarlijks door aankoop van steeds meer wijngaarden. De oorspronkelijke wijngaarden lagen in Savigny-lès-Beaune maar er zijn in 2007 nieuwe wijngaarden in Beaune en Puligny-Montrachet aangekocht en meer recent in Pommard, Meursault en Vosne-Romanée. In totaal beslaat het domein van Seguin Manuel 8,5 hectare. Alle wijngaarden worden volledig biologisch verbouwd zonder gebruik van chemicaliën.
