Description
Each design is named after a famously curious and dapper figure.
The Ashford is named after the young novelist Daisy Ashford, 9 year old author of 'The Young Visiters'.
Although published later (in 1919) her juvenile spelling mistakes and grammar were faithfully reproduced as written in her exercise book manuscript. The published book featured a preface by J.M Barrie and proved so popular that it was reprinted 18 times in it's first year.
I was given my edition as a child and loved how her imagination was celebrated and honoured in print form. As an adult I delight in Daisy's curiosity about the 'grown up' world, her literary interpretation being both charming and wonderfully odd.
Knitted in Cotton, adjustable & pre-tied, with Nickel hardware & Cotton lining. Made & designed by Alice all are Limited Edition Pieces with only 25 made of each design.
