Dulse is een rood zeewier dat in het wild groeit in het koude water van de noordewestelijke Stille Oceaan en de Noord-Atlantische Oceaan. Het wordt gekenmerkt door de unieke kleur en omdat het tussen rotsen en keien groeit. Dit dulse zeewier wordt rechtstreeks bij de bron gekocht. De algen in dit bakje komen uit het Bloscon-gebied in Bretagne. Dit handgeplukte zeewier wordt op traditionele wijze verwerkt, met zeewater gewassen en opgeslagen in zeezout tussen 3 en 8 graden. Ontzout het wier in ruim water, voor je het gaat gebruiken.
