Description

This table lamp is often named simply 'the Bauhaus lamp'. Admitted to the Bauhaus workshop in Weimar in 1924, Wagenfeld designed the first model of this lamp as his solution to an assignment given to him by Moholy-Nagy. As Wagenfeld said years later, the Bauhaus designs were intended to be industrial products, and indeed looked like them, but in fact they were hand-crafted. Today the Wagenfeld table lamp continues to be manufactured on this basis, following the original specifications for dimensions and materials. All lamps are consecutively numbered under the base and bear the Bauhaus and TECNOLUMEN ® logos. Available with glass or nickel base and stem.
