Avocado is een klein wonder van de natuur, bomvol vitamine en essentiële vetzuren. Er zijn veel lekkere manieren om avocado's klaar te maken en te eten. Heerlijk als basis voor guacamole, maar ook lekker op brood met olijfolie, limoensap en zeezout. Een fijne toevoeging aan ene salade, of in een soep of smoothie. Avocado's zijn rijp als de schil na lichte druk meegeeft of als de pit rammelt wanneer de vrucht geschud wordt. Bewaar ze op een koele plaats buiten de koelkast. Wij kiezen voor avocados van kleine biologisch werkende boeren met eigen plantages in onder meer Peru. Zij telen zo duurzaam mogelijk zonder chemische bestrijdingsmiddelen.
