Deze duurzame chopsticks (ook handig to go) van acaciahout worden in de Filipijnen gemaakt, waar de acacia bomen groeien in overvloed. Voor elk gekapte boom wordt er weer een nieuwe boom geplant.
Waarom Eco&Social?
Het bedrijf Kinta geeft fatsoenlijke lonen en goede werkomstandigheden aan de producenten. Dit wordt regelmatig door het bedrijf gecontroleerd, net als dat er geen sprake is van kinderarbeid. Zij werken samen met een klein aantal familiebedrijven die werken volgens de principes van Fairtrade. Voor elke boom die gekapt wordt, wordt een nieuwe boom geplant.
