YOLANDA EVELEENS (geb.1951) volgde de opleiding Vrije Grafiek aan de Rietveld Academie te Amsterdam.
Zij exposeert door heel Nederland en neemt regelmatig deel aan de “Grafiek Nu” manifestaties in het Singer Museum in Laren.
Naast haar vrije werk illustreert zij ook kinder- en schoolboeken.
Zij laat zich niet alleen inspireren door de natuur maar ook door de Keltische mythologie.
In deze wereld van natuurlijke elementen worden door haar op uiterst gedetailleerde wijze verbindingen gelegd die een surrealistische sfeer oproepen.
Speelde de afgelopen jaren water een grote rol in haar werk, in recent werk verbeeldt Yolanda Eveleens op bijzondere wijze de wonderbaarlijke processen die zich in het lichaam afspelen: de ademhaling; de bloedsomloop; de spijsvertering enz..
Daarbij legt zij een relatie tussen de binnenwereld en vergelijkbare processen in de buitenwereld.
