In de Graham’s Lodge, aangekocht in 1970 door de familie Symington trof men een aantal “pipes” (vaten) gemerkt met het opvallende druiventrosje. Het was de eigen huiscuvée van de Graham’s familie. Samengesteld uit 6 druivensoorten van uitsluitend de beste kwaliteit. De typische Portugese druivensoorten zijn Touriga Francesa, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Amarela en Tinto Cão.
Tamelijk donkere port met een zeer stevige “body”. Fruitig, robuust en superbe van kwaliteit. Een prachtige apéritiefport, maar het best komt deze port tot zijn recht bij een keur aan stevige, uitgesproken kaassoorten (Stilton). Lagering gedurende 4 tot 5 jaar op eiken vaten in de lodges van Vila Nova de Gaia. In tegenstelling tot Vintage port behoeft deze port niet direct na opening geconsumeerd te worden. Wel adviseren wij u de Six Grapes binnen een maand na opening te consumeren en zodoende optimaal van de kwaliteit te genieten! Deze Six Grapes port heeft veel van het karakter van Vintage Port maar heeft geen depot omdat het bezinksel in het fust achterblijft bij het bottelen.
