De basis voor deze romige jong belegen 50+ kaas is bijzondere melk. De melk voor onze Ekoplaza kazen komt van goede kwalitatief hoogstaande melk van Boer Wicher. Hij boert samen met zijn vrouw Aaltje al vele jaren met respect voor de dieren en hun omgeving. De melk in de Ekoplaza kaas komt dus van echte Hollandse koeien. De hoeve ligt in het pittoreske en unieke Rouveen vlak bij Staphorst in het typische slagenlandschap wat zo kenmerkend is voor deze omgeving. Wicher denkt op zijn land ook aan de vogels.
