Kikkererwtenmeel heeft een lichtgele kleur en is nootachtig van smaak.Kikkererwtenmeel is van nature glutenvrij. Maar omdat het kikkererwtenmeel van De Nieuwe Band wordt verpakt in een ruimte waar ook producten met gluten worden verpakt, kan hetl sporen van gluten bevatten.
Gebruiker Tips: Ten minste houdbaar tot op de verpakking vermelde datum. Droog bewaren.
Suggesties: Kikkererwtenmeel is enorm veelzijdig. In combinatie met andere soorten glutenvrij meel is het geschikt om tarwemeel te vervangen in glutenvrije recepten. Je kunt er sauzen mee binden en gebruiken als eivervanger in pannenkoeken en cakes. Verder wordt het veel gebruikt in Indiase zoete en hartige baksels. Je kunt er ook socca of farinata van maken, een heerlijke, quiche-achtige hartige pannenkoek die in Italië en Frankrijk veel wordt gegeten. Ook is het zeer geschikt om tempura mee te maken. Meng het meel met bier en kruiden naar keuze; bijvoorbeeld kurkuma, koriander en komijn. Dip stukjes groenten in het deeg en frituur kort.
