De Moscatel Galego is de Portugese naam voor de Muscat a Petit Grains, de edelste van de Muscat druiven. Deze druif wordt vaak gebruikt om zoete wijn van te maken, maar in de droge versie is hij mooi fris en heeft een geur van bloemen en een smaak van tropisch fruit. Deze wijn heeft 9 maanden houtrijping gehad. Het hout zorgt ervoor dat het bloemige karakter van de wijn nog meer wordt versterkt. Je proeft wat tonen van sinaasappel en abrikoos. Muscat met hout is niet voor de hand liggend, maar hier mooi gebalanceerd, waarbij de frisheid blijft behouden. Erg mooie wijn voor een mooie prijs.
Goncalo Sousa Lopes en Rui Cunha van Quinta da Faisca verbouwen zelf geen druiven. Ze kopen druiven in de directe omgeving en specialiseren zich om op ambachtelijke wijze daar de mooiste wijnen van te maken. En mooi en heerlijk zijn de wijnen!
