De Apollo Portable Lamp, ontworpen door STUDIO 0405 voor HAY is een draagbare en vrijstaande lamp voor binnen en buiten gebruik, die ruimte en intimiteit creëert waar hij ook geplaatst wordt. De lamp is met de hand gemaakt uit één stuk opaalglas. De ronde vormen en het uniforme silhouet zijn een eigentijdse interpretatie van de klassieke lampvorm. De lichtbron en oplaadbare batterij zijn verborgen in de kap en verlichten het bovenste gedeelte om een warme, sfeervolle gloed te geven. Apollo's draagbaarheid en opzettelijke eenvoud van ontwerp maken de lamp geschikt voor gebruik in vele kamers in een huiselijke omgeving, maar ook in cafés, patio's en andere buitenruimtes.
Het kapje staat standaard iets scheef, dit maakt deel uit van het unieke ontwerp.

Nikolaj Lorentz Mentze is een Deense ontwerper en eigenaar van het in Kopenhagen gevestigde architectuur- en ontwerpbureau STUDIO 0405. Hij studeerde af aan de Kolding School of Design in Denemarken, gespecialiseerd in productontwerp, voordat hij in 2015 STUDIO 0405 oprichtte.
