Tenuta Argentiera, founded in 1999 by Austrian entrepreneur Stanislaus Turnauer, is a winery located in the south of Bolgheri, Italy. The estate, known for its natural environment and silver mines, has gained a reputation as one of the most prestigious addresses in the Bolgheri region. The winery's 80 hectares of vineyards, some of the most beautiful in the area, are the highest developed in the Bolgheri DOC. The grapes are grown on clayey soils with gravel. Over a thousand French oak wood barrique barrels are stored in the maturation rooms. The wines are a result of high-quality berries and their unerring interpretation. The flagship wine, Bolgheri Superiore Argentiera, made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and a small amount of Cabernet Franc, is highly appreciated by the critics' guild. Tenuta Argentiera produces four red wines, one white wine, and one rose wine.
