Alle druiven worden handmatig geoogst. Eén van de weinige Quinta’s waar men de druiven nog met de voeten treedt. De wijn wordt zeer traditioneel gemaakt. Hij wordt op grote Pipes (wijnvat van 550l.) gerijpt.

Een intense inktzwarte kleur. In de neus viooltjes en lentebloemen. Peperig en spicey. Zwarte bessen en bramen combineren met bittere chocolade. Lange, complexe en rijke smaak die lang aanhoud. De tannine is ferm en voegt structuur toe. Een perfecte Vintage Port met een fluwelige structuur en veel power.
Zet de fles twee dagen voor serveren rechtop zodat eventueel depot naar de bodem kan zakken of decanteer de wijn door een zeefje. Zeker als hij wat ouder is kan er depot zijn. Een krachtige Port als deze past het beste bij krachtige kazen.
Deze wijn is een “Single Quinta”. De druiven voor deze top Port komen uitsluitend uit de wijngaarden van het wijngoed. In tegenstelling tot Vintage Port worden er dus geen verschillende druiven uit verschillende delen van de Dourostreek bij elkaar gemengd.
