Tetra Tips zijn samengesteld uit een evenwichtige combinatie van kwalitatieve speciaalvlokken en voedingrijke gevriesdroogde grondstoffen. Hecht zich vast aan de glazen aquariumwand.Het bevat kwalitatief gevriesdroogd natuurvoeder ( zoals vlokreeftjes (gammarus), pekelkreeftjes, watervlooien en muggenlarven). De tabletten kunnen tegen de ruit van het aquarium gekleefd (gedrukt) worden, zodat men de siervissen tijdens het voederen goed kan observeren.
De siervissen kunnen hun 'bijtinstrumenten' gebruiken om aan de tabletten te sabbelen en te knabbelen. Tetra Tips bevatten alle vitale voedingsstoffen, vitaminen en spoorelementen.
