Beschrijving: Beschrijving Bonen zijn de zaden van vlinderbloemige planten uit de peulvruchtenfamilie, vol krachtige voedingsstoffen, zoals vezels, anti-oxidanten, eiwitten, mineralen en vitaminen. Bonen zijn er in bijzonder veel verschillende verschijningen, waaronder zwarte, witte en Borlotti bonen. Allen zijn ze even gezond en bevatten ze 3 tot 4 keer meer eiwitten dan granen. Dat maakt ze zeer geschikt voor een vegetarisch menu. Witte bonen zie je vooral terug in gerechten waarin de bonen "gebakken" worden, in ovenschotels bijvoorbeeld. Van Franse cassoulet tot Hollandse lentesoep, van houmous tot tapas. Met witte bonen koken, gaat verder dan tomatensaus. Maar ook dan zijn ze nog steeds even lekker. Zoals het een witte boon betaamt!
