Who are we?
Welcome to Peddler! We're a booming marketplace & courier delivery service launched in 2019. We are currently present in 5 different cities (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Den Haag, Utrecht, Amstelveen) and expanding. Our bike couriers deliver orders placed on our marketplace or from third parties (like online shops) on the same day, ensuring eco-friendly and secure contactless delivery. From the Office in Amsterdam, we make sure that all operations go smoothly and our riders are always on the right track and doing alright!
Do I need experience to apply for a delivery rider position?
You need to be able to ride a bike and own a smartphone & power bank. No other prior experience required – just bring your positive attitude! We believe in the power of diversity and we encourage people with different backgrounds to apply.
What do I need to do to become a rider?
To become a rider, first, apply through our website. Once your application is received, we'll arrange an introduction meeting in which you get more information about the job and how it works. Following that, submit the required documents. If all documents are up-to-date, we'll send you a contract. Afterward, we'll schedule your first shift and complete the onboarding process at the hub. The whole process typically takes a few days to a week to complete.
Can I apply as a freelancer?
Yes, freelancers are welcome to apply! For starting as a freelancer, we do require an official document that includes your full name and BTW number. Please keep in mind that as a freelancer, you'll be responsible for managing your own taxes.
How many hours can I work on a weekly basis?
As a freelancer, you can work as much as you would like to. If you’re working with us on a flexible agreement, you are tied to the maximum of €604 per four weeks, so you can work a maximum of approx. 8 shifts (40 hours per month). On a 0 hour contract, which we give out to our Riders after a successful probation period, you can work up to 40 hours per week.
What time are the shifts and how long?
The shifts that we offer are ranging from 5 to 10 hours long. You can opt for our A shift from 09:00 to 14:00 or our B shift from 15:00 to 20:00, or combine them together.
Which documents do I need to submit as a rider?
All you need is a passport or ID, valid bank account, the document with your BSN number and the right to work in the Netherlands.
