Los Hermanos Romero is a vibrant and expressive coffee, shaped by the passion and dedication of Sergio and Walter Romero, known as Los Hermanos Romero. Grown on their farm, La Esquinada, nestled along the lush border of Celaque National Park, a region known for its rich biodiversity and the towering peak of Honduras’ tallest mountain, this coffee reflects the unique environment it’s cultivated in.
Continuing the legacy of their uncle Pedro Romero, Sergio and Walter honour their family tradition through the careful cultivation of Parainema and Obata varietals. Their work is a blend of innovation and deep respect for the land, a commitment that has led them to perfect their natural process, allowing the coffee to express the true essence of its terroir.
This natural process involves drying the cherries whole at peak ripeness under the sun, allowing sugars and acids to concentrate within the fruit. The method enhances sweetness and complexity, highlighting the coffee’s bold character and fruity depth.
The result is a medium body with medium-low acidity, offering a cup that bursts with bold, fruity notes of nectarine, pomegranate and brioche, complemented by a vibrant, fruity aroma. A balanced and layered profile that celebrates the richness of both the land and the Romero family’s heritage.
