Ahornsiroop is in verschillende kwaliteiten verkrijgbaar: A- en C-graad. Deze kwaliteitsaanduiding zegt iets over de helderheid en smaak van de siroop. - Ahornsiroop graad A is verkregen bij de eerste tapping en is lichtbruin van kleur. - Ahornsiroop graad C is (donker)bruin en heeft een sterkere karamelsmaak. Ahornsiroop laat zich prima verwerken als zoetmiddel in allerlei bakproducten, appelmoes, stoofperen, fruitsalades, pudding, muesli en yoghurt, op vruchten, ijs, gebak en pannenkoeken. Ook te gebruiken als zoetmiddel in thee of koffie.
