De amandelen van Horizon komen al 25 jaar van een Spaanse boerencoöperatie in Andalusië. Door met stokken tegen de takken te slaan vallen de rijpe amandelen uit de boom in de grote zeilen die eronder zijn gespannen. In de boomgaard wordt de groene bast verwijderd. Onder deze groene bast zit een donkere harde bast, die pas in de fabriek gekraakt wordt. Vervolgens wordt de amandelen gemalen tot meel.
