Murcia de gemeente met de hoogste percentage op van landbouwgrond, die naar de biologische landbouw is gespecialiseerd. 26 procent van alle in Murcia gegroeid amandelen biologische amandelen. Deze amandelmelk mag de claim 'suikervrij' dragen aangezien ze minder dan 0.5 gr suiker per 100 gr of 100 ml bevat; en 'zonder zoetsto¬ffen' omdat ze geen ingrediënten bevat die gebruikt worden voor hun zoetmakende eigenschappen (bepaald in reglement (CE) n·1924/2006). Ze bevat echter wel van nature aanwezige suikers met een gehalte van 0.1 g per 100 gr of 100 ml.
