Issued from old vine Gamay from predominantly pink granitic soils with sand. Arcane is a mix of both whole bunches of de-stemmed fruit with extended maceration. The whole was left for 2 months to ferment resulting in a deep yet spicy extraction. Pressing is equally slow encouraging gentle oxidation. Wild berries and elevated acidity with notes of tomato leaf and liquorice root & earth. Arguably the lightest of the cuvées yet the most angular. Extremely enjoyable now but would also benefit from some years yet aside.
