Zeer complex. Een verleidelijke mix van toffee, chocolade, koffie, rook en jodium met de fruitigheid van citrusvruchten, meloen en peer en een snufje vers gemalen zwarte peper.
SMAAK
Een explosie van turf gaat hand in hand met tonen van citroen en limoensap . Zwarte peper en kaneel geven de toffee ondertoon genoeg pit. Banaan, zwarte bessen en room maken langzaam plaats voor rook en cappuccino. Geroosterde marshmallow, drop en pure chocolade maken dit vettige smaakpalet compleet.
AFDRONK
Eindeloos lang. Hij gaat maar door met zijn rokerigheid, teer en espresso. Ook wat anijs, geroosterde amandelen, peren en mout blijven je verleiden tot de volgende slok.
CULINAIR
Deze zeer rokerige whisky is een mooie combinatie met een hartige quiche of gamba’s met truffelroom.
BIJZONDERHEDEN
De meeste whisky’s zijn ‘chill-filtered’ en bevatten 40% alcohol. Ardbeg 10 yrs is echter niet ‘chill-filtered’ en heeft een sterkte van 46%, waardoor smaak maximaal behouden blijft en tegelijkertijd meer body en extra diepte wordt gegeven aan de whisky.
