De Caribbean Cask expressie heeft 14 jaar gerijpt in traditioneel eiken whiskyvaten en is gefinished in vaten die voorheen rum bevatten. Om de ideale finish te creëren heeft Malt Master David Stewart een blend gemaakt van West Indian rums. Nadat hij de vaten ‘klaar’ achtte is de rum vervangen door 14 jaar oude whisky om het vat zijn werk te laten doen voor de ‘finishing touch’. Het resultaat is een malt whisky met het traditionele karakter van de Balvenie, zacht en licht honingzoet maar nu met een verwarmende lange fruitige finish.
