Deze Beaujolais Villages, La Sambinerie heeft een intens robijnrode kleur en aroma- en smaakkarakteristieken van rode kersen, viooltjes en kruiden. Goed te combineren met gegrilde kip en rundvlees maar ook diverse kazen.
Richard Rottiers komt uit een familie van wijnmakers in Chablis. In 2007 begon hij met 3 hectare wijngaarden in Romanèche-Thorins. Op dit moment heeft hij 5 hectare wijngaarden met stokken tussen 40 en 80 jaar oud. De wijngaarden voor deze Beaujolais Villages bevinden zich direct naast de Moulin à Vent appellaties. Nadat de druiven handmatig zijn geplukt worden ze zorgvuldig gesorteerd en gaan ze in grote betonnen tanks voor de alcoholische fermentatie. De wijn wordt gedurende de fermentatie koel gehouden zodat alle fruit aroma’s bewaard blijven. Tijdens de wintermaanden blijft de wijn nog enkele maanden in grote eikenhouten vaten waarna het wordt gebotteld.
