Onze Appelbloesemhoning is afkomstig uit Italiaanse boomgaarden die bevolkt worden door de appelboom. De pure appelbloesemhoning fungeert als therapeutische agent wat betreft astmatische en andere ademhalingsproblemen, zo wordt geloofd. Door de aanwezigheid van zuren in Appelbloesemhoning zou ook zijn diëtische waarde niet te onderschatten zijn.
Smaak
De smaak is zacht, delicaat en fruitig, met een milde zoetheid en subtiele fruitige tonen.
De honing wordt geoogst in de vroege lente en kristalliseert tot een vale, vaste honing met zachte textuur
Hoe is de honing te gebruiken/ te eten?
Appelbloesemhoning kan worden gebruikt om thee en andere dranken te zoeten, en het kan ook worden gebruikt als een topping op toast of als een ingrediënt in saladedressings en marinades. Het is een veelzijdige honing die goed past bij een breed scala aan gerechten en smaken.
Houdbaarheid
Honing heeft eigenlijk geen houdbaarheidsdatum, maar de smaak kan met de tijd vervagen. De honing kan daarom het beste binnen twee jaar geconsumeerd worden.
