Vlakbij de Slikken van Flakkee, ligt het familiebedrijf van Kaasboerderij Mulder.
Sjaak, Tonny en Stefan Mulder bereiden hier ambachtelijke kaas en zetten daarmee een ruim 45 jaar durende familietraditie voort. De smaak van dit goudgele product is in de loop der jaren steeds verder verfijnd.
Tevens is Kaasboerderij Mulder, door o.a. het gebruik van zonnepanelen, een duurzame onderneming. In de toekomst hopen zij energie neutraal te zijn. Ambachtelijkheid, authenticiteit en duurzaamheid zijn dé kernwoorden die heel specifiek van toepassing zijn op kaas van de familie Mulder.
Kaas
Boeren mulder vergeten kaas is een goudse kaas bereidt met rauwe melk. De kaas onderscheidt zich door een perfecte balans in rijpingskristallen en uitgesproken smaak. Hoe oud deze kaas precies is kan Familie Mulder niet zeggen. Het verhaal gaat namelijk de rondte dat hij deze kazen vergeten was en nog ergens achterin in zijn boerderij op een aantal planken had liggen! Vandaar ook de naam vergeten kaas.
