Deze champagne Millésime 2009 heeft frisse zuren en een rijp fruitkarakter. Aroma’s en smaaktonen die doen denken aan grapefruit, perzik, appeltaart, amandelen en brioche. Heerlijk te combineren met oesters, smaakvolle visgerechten, salades en gevogelte. Nu op dronk, maar kan ook nog jaren ouderen.
André Clouet heeft het champagnehuis opgericht in 1741. Vandaag de dag is Jean-François Clouet verantwoordelijk voor 7 hectare wijngaarden, gelegen in de Grand Cru dorpen Bouzy en Ambonnay. Op zijn Grand Cru wijngaarden zijn voornamelijk pinot noir druivenstokken aangeplant. Deze Millésime bestaat uit 80% pinot noir en 20% chardonnay druiven. De druiven worden handmatig geplukt en de fermentatie vindt plaats in roestvrijstalen tanks. Voordat de wijn wordt gebotteld rijpt hij nog een aantal maanden in eikenhouten vaten. De champagne rust daarna 4 jaar in de fles op zijn lie in de kelders van Jean-François Clouet. De druiven van deze champagne komen allemaal uit 2009 en daarom spreken we van een Millésime.
