- Chloorhexidine is een ontsmettend middel. Het remt de groei van bacteriën en schimmels.
- Bij wonden, zoals schaafwonden of snijwonden, als deze geïnfecteerd zijn of als er kans is op infectie. Ook om voorwerpen te desinfecteren of om de huid te ontsmetten voor een kleine ingreep.
En om te voorkomen dat steenpuisten steeds terugkomen. - Crème of lotion: maak de wond eerst schoon met lauw water. Dep de huid droog. Een schaafwond eerst even aan de lucht laten drogen.

U kunt dit medicijn veilig gebruiken. Het wordt al jarenlang gebruikt door zwangere vrouwen en vrouwen die borstvoeding geven, zonder nadelige gevolgen voor het kind.
