Cacao uit Nicaragua
De cacaobonen voor deze reep komen van de plantages van Cacao Bisiesto in La Dalia. Dat ligt in de Matagalpa regio van Nicaragua. Het bedrijf dankt zijn naam aan de dag van oprichting (29 februari) – de dag die enkel in schrikkeljaren voorkomt: in het Spaans bisiesto. De oprichters José Enrique Herrera en Giff Laube werken nauw samen met andere boeren om de kwaliteit van de cacao te waarborgen en te zorgen dat ze meer verdienen aan hun cacao dan op de regliuarie markt. Samen zorgen ze dat de natuur en cacao in het hele productieproces worden gerespecteerd.
