De (niet zo) rampzalige avonturen van Herre van Marte Jongbloed (door de Kinderjury bekroond met de Pluim van de Senaat 2017) is het eerste deel van een grappig leesavontuur over een jongen die niets mag van zijn moeder maar toch in allerlei gevaarlijke situaties verzeild raakt. Een heerlijke serie voor alle kinderen die toe zijn aan iets meer dan graphic novels. Met vrolijke zwart-witillustraties van Iris Boter. De vader van Herre is een paar jaar geleden verdwenen tijdens een expeditie op de Noordpool. Zijn moeder is daarom doodsbang dat ze Herre ook kwijtraakt. Daarom mag hij niet naar zwemfeestjes, door het verkeer fietsen en touwklimmen tijdens de gymles. Dan komt er een nieuwe buurman naast Herre wonen. Hij is een beetje mysterieus. Elke keer als Herre met hem op stap gaat, gebeuren er vreemde en gevaarlijke dingen.
