Domkaars 22 cm
In 1982 bedacht Ruud Snel de Domkaars die hij in zijn kaarsenwinkel aan de Donkerstraat in Utrecht verkocht. Ruud zag het als zijn taak om licht te verspreiden. Hij deed dat met de handgemaakte Domkaars. In 2016 is Ruud overleden, maar de kaars blijft behouden voor de stad Utrecht.
Ook nu worden de kaarsen op traditionele wijze gemaakt. Geen enkele kaars in hetzelfde. Elke kaars vertelt haar eigen verhaal, vaak met een speciale gedachte aan Utrecht.
