Elmex Sensitive tandpasta is effectief en zacht voor gevoelige tanden. Aminfluoride vormt langdurig een beschermend laagje dat gevoelige prikkels en tandcariës helpt voorkomen. De zachte reinigingsdeeltjes zijn speciaal ontwikkeld voor de verzorging van gevoelige tanden. Dankzij de lage schuurwaarde reinigt deze tandpasta in alle zachtheid en verzorgt het de blootliggende tandhalzen.
,Gevoelige tanden ontstaan doordat de tandhalzen blootliggen. Dit kan bijvoorbeeld het gevolg zijn van een verkeerde poetstechniek. Zonder de bescherming van het tandvlees en het tandglazuur worden de tandhalzen vatbaar voor externe stimuli (zoals koude en warme dranken) en tandhalscariës. Deze tandpasta is met name bedoeld voor mensen met een blootliggende en gevoelige tandhalzen.
