Deze Fleurie la Roilette van Domaine Bernard Métrat is een geconcentreerde wijn met aroma’s van kersen, bessen en frambozen. Door de herkomst en opvoeding op eikenhouten vaten heeft de wijn, naast het compacte fruitkarakter ook complexiteit en kracht. Goed te combineren met kwartel, geroosterde kip, vleespaté en vleesterrine.
De familie Métrat woont in het hart van de appellatie Fleurie. La Roilette ligt onderaan de hellingen en grenst aan Moulin-a-Vent. De bodem bestaat voornamelijk uit klei met daaronder graniet. Sinds enkele jaren bewerkt Bernard de vijf hectare wijngaarden van zijn vader André. Fleurie, la Roilette wordt gemaakt van druiven afkomstig van 60 tot 80 jaar oude gamay stokken. Nadat de druiven handmatig zijn geoogst worden ze in de wijnmakerij gesorteerd. Ze worden licht gekneusd en gaan vervolgens in cementen tanks (85%) en gebruikte eikenhouten vaten (15%) voor de alcoholische fermentatie. De wijnen rijpen enkele maanden voordat ze worden geblend en gebotteld.
