Godet VS is de jongste cognac in de 'Great Classics' reeks van Godet. Een blend van verschillende Cru's, dubbel gedistilleerd en gerijpt in vaten van Frans eikenhout. De blend bestaat uit cognac uit de gebieden Fins Bois en Bons Bois. Deze VS belichaamt de inventieve kant van de eerste cognac-distilleerders die hun wijnen letterlijk brandden om de kwaliteit te behouden. Ze ontdekten dat deze eau-de-vie, eenmaal in een eiken vat, sterk verbeterde naarmate de tijd verstreek. Dit was het begin van het verhaal van de Cognac.
VS staat voor very special / very superior en refereert naar de leeftijd en kwaliteit van de cognac. Om VS genoemd te mogen worden, moet de jongste cognac in de blend minimaal 2 jaar hebben gerijpt in houten vaten.
Proefnotities: Levendig en fruitig, frisse aroma's van vanille met tonen van leder.
