Op zorgboerderij de Mèkkerstee in Ouddorp wordt inmiddels al een aantal jaren vol passie kaas gemaakt. Dat ze hun “vak verstaan” vertaalt zich in een aantal vakprijzen die ze gewonen hebben (o.a. beste Geitenkaas van NL 2013).
De melk is afkomstig van de maar liefst 300 geiten die ze hebben grazen. De vrouwtjesgeiten geven zo’n drie liter melk per dag. Van deze verse biologische geitenmelk maken ze op ambachtelijke wijze de Grietje uit Ouddorp. Het kenmerkende van deze kaas is zijn zachte en heerlijk romige smaak en structuur. Grietje “smelt in de mond”. De Mekkerstee is ook geopend voor bezoek.
