Dakloze mensen kunnen gewoon op jou lijken, of op je leraar, je buurman of die zakenvrouw in de tram. In ‘Hier ben ik thuis’ vertellen Ben, Alex, Suzie, Florin, Egberto en Jacques hun verhaal.
Het idee voor dit boek kwam van Floortje Vermeer. Zij werkt in Makom, een inloophuis van De Regenboog Groep voor dak- en thuisloze mensen in Amsterdam. Onder de indruk van de verhalen en talenten van de inloophuisbezoekers, vatte ze het plan deze op te schrijven om zo een beter en eerlijker beeld van dakloze mensen te laten zien. Hieraan werkten de verhalenvertellers graag mee en zo geschiedde. Je leest hoe ze dakloos zijn geworden, hoe hun dag eruitziet, waar ze goed in zijn, wat ze lastig vinden, én waar ze zich thuis voelen ..
