Licht rokerig, bijna medicinaal, tonen van vanille, teer, een vleugje barbecuesaus en wat citrus en mout.
SMAAK
Romig, met een sublieme kern van malt. Verrassend veel turfrook die perfect samenwerkt met de romige zoete tonen, de zoute boter, vanillepudding en tonen van ontbijtgranen.
AFDRONK
Een mooie lengte met tonen van malt, snoepjes, zwarte peper en rook.
COCKTAIL
Verras iedereen met een ‘Dark Smoky’:
· ½ kopje appelcider
· 1 tl honing
· 1 stokje kaneel
· 1 reepje citroenschaafsel
· 2 el Johnnie Walker Double Black
· 1½ tl vers geperst citroensap
Verwarm de appelcider, honing, kaneelstokje en citroenschaafsel ca 3 minuten in een steelpannetje, tot de honing gesmolten is en de kaneel geurt. Voeg vlak voor het opdienen de whisky en citroensap toe en roer het geheel door. Schenk het in hittebestendige glazen en garneer met het kaneelstokje en citroenschaafsel.
BIJZONDERHEDEN
Een speciale mix van whisky’s van de Schotse hooglanden, gerijpt in doorgerookte eikenvaten, waardoor de whisky rokeriger en rijker is dan de Black Label.
