Edward van de Vendel ontving voor zijn poëzie en proza alle edelmetalen, van de Gouden Poëziemedaille tot de Gouden Griffel, en vorig jaar nog de driejaarlijkse Theo Thijssenprijs voor zijn ‘nieuwe woorden, originele beelden en fonkelende dialogen’.
