Deze flower sprouts, ook wel boerenkoolspruitjes of kalettes genoemd, zijn écht bijzonder! Zoals de bijnaam namelijk al verraad, is het een variant die zowel op een spruitje als op boerenkool lijkt. En daarmee zijn ze niet alleen ontzettend knap en staan ze leuk op tafel, ze zijn ook bijzonder lekker. Ze hebben een zoete, nootachtige smaak en daarmee hebben ze meer weg van een spruitje dan van boerenkool. Leuk als bijgerecht, maar past ook goed in een wintersalade of wokgerecht.
