Met de Dandelight versmelt Studio DRIFT natuur en technologie tot een lichtsculptuur. Het werk kan worden gezien als een kritische maar utopische visie op de toekomst van onze planeet, waar twee schijnbaar tegengestelde evoluties een pact hebben gesloten om te overleven. DRIFT heeft twee versies ontwikkeld, een met en een zonder power base en dome. Degene met de stroombasis bevat een adapter.
De paardebloemen worden in het voorjaar geoogst en gedroogd. Pluisje voor pluisje worden ze op het lampje geplakt.
Deze versie komt zonder stolp of base en werkt op een 9V batterij (inclusief).
