Description
Nixta licor de Eliote is een maïs likeur afkomstig uit Jilotepec, Mexico. Dit unieke product wordt gemaakt van cachauazintle maïs en wordt geproduceerd in de Destilería y Bodega Abasolo. De cachauazintle maïs staat bekend om zijn uitgesproken smaak wat ook erg aanwezig is in het smaakprofiel van deze likeur. Samen met de aroma’s van vers gebakken maisbrood geeft deze veelzijdige likeur zoet en romige hinten van karamel en vanille.
Bij de Destilería y bodega Abasolo wordt de voorouderlijke ambacht van de Mexicaanse maïs cultuur in stand gehouden. De benaming Nixta komt van het woord “nixtamaliseren”, een eeuwen oude traditionele bereiding proces voor maïs, afkomstig uit Zuid-Amerika en Midden-Amerika.
