Als digestief na het eten of in een spoom, een tussengerecht. Op cocktailgebied wordt er nog volop met limoncello geëxperimenteerd. De likeur is het lekkerst rechtstreeks uit de vriezer, wat het een perfect ingrediënt maakt voor ijskoude cocktails, zoals een ‘Maiori Magic’:
· 30 ml Luxardo Limoncello
· 45 ml Campari
· 30 ml citroensap
· tonic
Doe de limoncello, Campari en citroensap in een shaker en schud stevig. Schenk de mix in een cocktailglas met ijs en vul het af met de tonic.
BIJZONDERHEDEN
Luxardo Limoncello wordt geproduceerd in het zuiden van Italië, rond de golf van Napels, de Amalfi kust en het eiland Capri. Wanneer Limoncello gemaakt wordt met citroenen uit Sorrento, mag de likeur ‘Liquore di Limone di Sorrento P.G.I.’ heten volgens de Europese richtlijnen die de Sorrento citroenen beschermen.
