Als digestief na het eten of in een spoom, een tussengerecht. Op cocktailgebied wordt er nog volop met limoncello geëxperimenteerd. De likeur is het lekkerst rechtstreeks uit de vriezer, wat het een perfect ingrediënt maakt voor ijskoude cocktails, zoals een ‘Frizzo’:
· 1 deel Marcati Limoncello
· 4 delen prosecco
· 1 bolletje citroenijs
schenk de Limoncello in een champagneglas en voeg het bolletje ijs toe. Schenk dan rustig de prosecco erover, tot aan de rand van het glas. Garneer met een krul van de citroenschil of met een takje munt.
BIJZONDERHEDEN
Marcati Limoncello wordt ambachtelijk gemaakt van de citroenen uit het Sorrento gebied. Wanneer Limoncello gemaakt wordt met citroenen uit Sorrento, mag de likeur ‘Liquore di Limone di Sorrento P.G.I.’ heten volgens de Europese richtlijnen die de Sorrento citroenen beschermen.
