ZICHT/KLEUR
Een ferme en vlokkerige witte schuimkraag vormt zich voor je ogen. De geelkoperen kleur ziet er zeker met het zonlicht aantrekkelijk uit. Het is licht troebel, omdat het hergist op fles.
GEUR
Bij de eerste kennismaking ruik je een zoetigheid die doet denken aan ananas op siroop. Deze zoetheid krijgt een frisse toets door de sinaasappelwelke steeds meer op de voorgrond treedt. Daarnaast kun je iets van noten herkennen in de geur.
SMAAK
De Maredsous is zeer complex bij de eerste slok. De behoorlijke bitterheid en fruitigheid van overrijpe vruchten spelenin je mond. Toch blijft de smaak toegankelijk en zacht en is het hoge alcoholpercentage niet waarneembaar. Zeer evenwichtig gemaakt.
AFDRONK
De afdronk blijft in dezelfde stijl en lijkt iets van grapefruit weg te hebben. Uiteindelijk vloeit deze langzaam weg.
CULINAIR
Lekker bij gekruide krieltjes en een ouderwetse schnitzel "wiener art".
