Kadarka 2021
Kadarka 2021 is a natural red wine from the Maurer vineyard. The wine is Pinot Noir-like fruity, spicy and has beautiful acids. Wonderful bouquet of red fruit, rapsberry and strawberries, light in colour, almost transparent. Very drinkable with earthy undertones.
The wine is made with no added yeast, fermented in open vat and aged in big old oak casks for 9 months, no added sulfhur.
Winemaker Maurer feels strongly about nature, which means that he grows grapes that are most suited for certain areas, using only environmentally friendly methods. He uses spontaneous fermentation, without the use of any additives, pesticides or herbicides, so that the aromas given by the terroir are not affected and he also uses a low level of sulphur. Having 4 generations curing the art of wine making, the oldest Maurer vineyard dates from 1880.
